Why HF-HP500PV

Certified for the Acquirer, Fast Enough for Peak Hour

The fastest path to a certified biometric counter — card reading, palm vein and receipt printing in one handheld.

Certified Where It Counts

PCI PTS 6.x and EMV L1&L2 — the certification wall your acquirer asks for, already cleared from the factory. Most palm vein devices on the market are only “certification-ready”; this one is certified.

Financial-Grade Palm Vein Accuracy

The 830D contactless palm vein module delivers FAR ≤ 0.0000001%, FRR ≤ 0.01% and wave-and-go verification in under 500 ms: one false accept in ten million impostor attempts.

Three-in-One Card Reading

Magnetic stripe, IC chip and contactless (NFC) reading in the same 5-inch handheld — one terminal replaces the card reader, the biometric box and the printer at the counter.

Runs a Whole Shift Untethered

A 5200 mAh battery and 4G / Wi-Fi keep the terminal selling at pop-up counters, queue-busting stations and mobile points — with the 58 mm printer on board for receipts.

Acquirer-Ready Out of the Box

Certificates and test reports ship with the SDK and a sample app, so your acquirer conversation starts on day one instead of after an integration project.

Everything below ships with the HF-HP500PV — pilot once, scale on the same codebase.

🤚830D Palm Vein Core

Financial-grade identity, contactless

  • Contactless liveness recognition — wave the palm over the sensor; nothing to touch, nothing to clean
  • FAR ≤ 0.0000001% — at most one false accept in ten million impostor attempts
  • Under 500 ms — palm hover authorises the payment; peak-hour throughput without queues
  • Encrypted templates — biometric data never leaves the terminal in the clear

💳Payment Hardware

The full counter, in one device

  • 58 mm thermal printer — receipts at the counter, no external printer box
  • Magnetic / IC / contactless — the three-in-one card reading your acquirer expects
  • 2 MP QR camera — 1D/2D code scanning alongside card and palm payment
  • 5200 mAh battery — a full shift away from the counter

📜Certification Set

Onboarding without workarounds

  • PCI PTS 6.x — the acquirer security specification, factory certified
  • EMV L1 & L2 — card-reading compliance on the terminal itself
  • Documents included — certificates and test reports for acquirer submission

FAQ

HF-HP500PV — Frequently Asked Questions

Does a palm vein POS terminal need PCI or EMV certification?
Only when the device itself reads cards or processes payment transactions — and the HF-HP500PV does exactly that, which is why it carries PCI PTS 6.x and EMV L1&L2. Pure identity-only palm vein terminals that never read a bank card — like the HF-PVBW3000 for closed-loop canteen payment — generally fall outside PCI/EMV scope.
What is the difference between the HP500PV and the HP705PV?
The palm vein core is identical — the same 830D module with FAR ≤ 0.0000001% and wave-and-go verification under 500 ms. The hardware tier differs: the HP500PV is a 5-inch handheld on Android 12 (1 GB + 8 GB) with PCI PTS 6.x and three-in-one card reading; the HP705PV is a dual-screen flagship on Android 14 (2 GB + 16 GB) with PCI PTS 7.x, contactless L1, eight card schemes, 2×PSAM, GNSS and a docking base with Ethernet.
Which counters is the HP500PV best suited to?
Single-country card rollouts, canteen and QSR counters, teller windows, duty-free lanes and mobile points of sale — anywhere a compact handheld with certified card reading, palm vein and a built-in 58 mm printer is enough. For multi-region rollouts that need eight card schemes, choose the HP705PV.
What does FAR ≤ 0.0000001% mean in practice?
At most one false acceptance in ten million impostor attempts — the accuracy class financial institutions require for payment-grade biometrics. Legitimate customers are kept moving by FRR ≤ 0.01%.
How fast is a palm vein payment at the counter?
Wave-and-go verification completes in under 500 ms — the customer hovers a palm, the terminal matches, and the payment is authorised. No card handover, no PIN pad for on-account or biometric-first flows; PIN applies only where the card scheme itself requires it.
Does it include a receipt printer?
Yes — a 58 mm thermal printer is built into the HF-HP500PV, so every counter prints receipts without an external printer box.
How long does the battery last away from the counter?
The 5200 mAh battery keeps the terminal selling through a full shift at pop-up counters, queue-busting stations and mobile points, with 4G and Wi-Fi keeping it online throughout.
Can we order evaluation units before committing?
Yes — sample and pilot orders are welcome. A typical pilot is 5–10 units shipped with the SDK, a sample app and the certification documents pack so your acquirer conversation starts in parallel with the pilot.
What documents do you provide for acquirer onboarding?
PCI PTS and EMV certificates and test reports, plus the product datasheets and SDK documentation your acquirer or certification lab asks for. Tell us the market and scheme and we will confirm the exact document set within one business day.
Do you support OEM / ODM branding?
Yes. As the factory since 2005, HFSecurity provides OEM branding, packaging and firmware customization, with OEM / ODM engineering support in-house.
