Why HF-PVBW3000

Access and Closed-Loop Payment Where No Cable Reaches

All the accuracy of a wired palm vein terminal, none of the infrastructure — and payment built on the same verified identity.

Deploy First, Cable Never

A 2500 mAh lithium battery with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz means site offices, pop-up counters, warehouses and rented premises get palm vein access the same day — and take the terminal with them when the lease ends.

20,000 On-Board — 5 Million+ in Cloud Mode

Matches up to 20,000 enrolled palms locally in ≤450 ms, so a campus gate or large office runs standalone out of the box. Switch the same terminal into cloud mode and templates move to your server, scaling one fleet to 5 million+ users — Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz keeps records in sync without touching the unit.

One False Accept in Ten Million

FAR ≤ 0.0001% · FRR ≤ 0.01%, with biometric templates encrypted at rest — banking-grade accuracy for a cable-free terminal.

Runs Android, Speaks Your Language

MTK Android platform with multi-language voice prompts and a multi-state LED for intuitive pass/fail feedback; Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C for configuration and charging.

Closed-Loop Payment, Out of PCI Scope

Verify the palm, then let your till or back-office debit the account over the HF Palm SDK — canteens, staff stores and vending points run on your own balance, so there is no card scheme, no acquirer, no EMV certification and no PCI DSS audit.

Closed-Loop Payment Scenarios

Eight Payment Sites That Need No EMV — and No PCI Audit

The PVBW3000 verifies the payer; your till, kiosk or back-office then charges the account through the free HF Palm SDK. Money stays inside your own closed-loop balance — no card scheme, no acquirer, so no EMV L1&L2 certification and no PCI DSS scope.

🍚

Staff Canteens & Site Kitchens

The task. A staff canteen still runs on meal cards that get lost, borrowed — or quietly handed to a colleague at the till.

With the PVBW3000. The terminal verifies the palm and passes the identity to your canteen till or back-office over the HF Palm SDK; the allowance is debited from the employee’s own meal account.

Result. An allowance that cannot be passed around — no cards to issue, block or replace, and no card scheme anywhere in the loop.

🎓

Campus & Closed-Loop Wallets

The task. One campus wallet has to work at the canteen till, the tuck shop and the event stand — all against the same stored balance.

With the PVBW3000. 20,000 palms on-board matched in ≤450 ms keep the lunch queue moving; entry, attendance and spend all ride one on-board database.

Result. One palm for entry and for spending — no top-up kiosk, and no replacement card on a parent’s invoice.

🏪

Pop-up Counters & Rented Stalls

The task. A market stall, fair booth or leased kiosk cannot drill into the landlord’s wiring just to add a payment reader.

With the PVBW3000. Desktop mode with the 2500 mAh battery and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz — stored-value payment anywhere there is a table and a stallholder.

Result. Member payment live on opening morning, packed away with the stock at close.

🚚

Canteen Vans & Mobile Kitchens

The task. A canteen van serving three sites a day has no mains power — and at two of them, no network either.

With the PVBW3000. Battery operation, on-device matching and locally stored transactions; the day’s takings upload the moment the van is back on Wi-Fi.

Result. The same meal account follows the crew from site to site — one terminal, no wiring, no cash box.

Pocket-sized footprint — 126.1 × 76.1 × 15.1 mm, desktop or wall-mounted, zero cabling end to end.

FAQ

HF-PVBW3000 — Frequently Asked Questions

Do these payment scenarios need EMV or PCI certification?
No — and that is the whole point of the closed-loop model. Here the PVBW3000 only authenticates the person; the amount is charged against an account you hold (meal allowance, stored-value wallet, staff credit), and the terminal never reads a bank card. With no card scheme and no acquirer involved, the project stays out of EMV L1/L2 certification and out of PCI DSS scope — deployment measured in days, not audits. If you do need open-loop bank card acceptance, the EMV-certified HF-MP50 and the PCI PTS + EMV HF-HP500PV are the right terminals.
What does it need from our existing POS or back-office?
One integration point. The HF Palm SDK returns a verified identity and a match result over Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi or USB Type-C; your till, kiosk or back-office system then posts the debit to that member account. Host support covers Windows, Android, iOS, macOS and Linux, and the SDK is free.
Can palm vein access control work without network cabling?
Yes — that is exactly what the PVBW3000 is for. It carries its own 2500 mAh battery, pairs over Bluetooth 5.0 or Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, matches up to 20,000 palms on-board, and uploads logs when a network is available. No Ethernet, no conduit, no mains wiring.
How many users can it store?
20,000 palm templates on-board with 1:1 and 1:vN matching in ≤450 ms — enough for a large office, campus gate or event without any server.
Can the on-board capacity be expanded?
Yes. In standard mode the PVBW3000 stores 20,000 palm templates on the terminal itself — enough for most single-site projects. When a group, district or multi-campus network needs more, the same terminal switches to cloud mode: templates upload to your own server and one fleet scales to 5 million+ users, while the terminal still matches locally so decisions stay instant and network-independent.
How accurate is it compared with a wired terminal?
Identical algorithm class: FAR ≤ 0.0001% and FRR ≤ 0.01%, with templates encrypted on the device.
How is it installed?
Wall-mount or desktop, two screws, power on. Configuration via Bluetooth 5.0 or USB Type-C; voice prompts in multiple languages guide users.
Can it also record attendance?
Yes — the same on-board database and log upload serve access control, time attendance and account-based spend, which is how most canteen and site customers deploy it.
Does it need a server or internet connection to decide?
No. The algorithm deploys locally and matching completes on the terminal in ≤450 ms — the decision never waits for a network. Transactions and records upload over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth when connectivity is available. Cloud mode is optional: it centralises a 5 million+ template library on your server for a whole fleet, and the terminal keeps working locally if the network drops.
Can we build our own software on it?
Yes. HFSecurity provides the HF Palm SDK for secondary development with host support across Windows, Android, iOS, macOS and Linux, plus OTA/USB firmware upgrades to keep deployed units current.
